RUNNING, CYCLING, AND WORKING WHILE SLEEPING
It has been another tremendous week at thebigword with wins
from two major global companies. They stated that the main reason for choosing
thebigword again was, among other things, the secure way that they can work
with us. Being a financial institution means that accuracy, security and speed
is of the essence. I am proud to share the news they fed back to us that we
received top marks in all of these three areas. So well done team bigword!
We are just concluding a successful experiment whereby the
Leeds UK office is now extending its hours to meet the requirements of our US
offices and, with coverage in China, we are now working 24 hours a day throughout the world. So wherever in the world our clients are
sleeping; thebigword has the ability to keep working on their behalf.
As well as working hard, the teams are playing hard. We are
very proud in Leeds that it is the starting point of Tour de France 2014 and thebigword
is a corporate hospitality partner. As well as supporting the cyclists, our
London staff are running around too for a great cause. Staff from
thebigword’s London office are supporting Great Ormond Street Hospital by
taking part in the 5km RBC Race for the Kids on June 8, 2014. Great Ormond
Street Hospital provides world-class care for children and pioneers new
treatments and cures for childhood illnesses. Our London office has
selected it as their preferred charity. You can support our team and
donate to this incredibly worthy cause here: www.raceforthekids.co.uk
Between you and I have to admit, I am actually not
participating in either of these activities. I have spoken in previous blogs
about being a failure as a cyclist. No comment about my running ability.
However, getting in the mood for Tour de France is our very
own CFO, Matthew Toynton, who joined PWC in a charity ride last Wednesday.
In the meantime, I am rushing off as I am having a weekend
in the Sun. Have a great week and I will catch-up with you soon.
